This Project falls under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (Ill. Comp. Stat. Ch. 820 ILCS, ACT 130/1-12) which requires payment of Prevailing Wages and the Illinois Preference Act (Ill. Comp. Stat. Ch. 30 ILCS, ACT 570/1-7) which concerns the employment of Illinois workers on public works projects.

Attention is called to the provisions of the Fair Employment Practices Act of the State of Illinois, and particularly to the provision of Section 4 thereof. The Contract entered into shall be conditioned as provided by law.

Attention is called to provisions of the "Illinois Workers on Public Works Act", Chapter 48, Sections 269-275 of the Illinois Revised Statutes. The Contract entered into shall be conditioned as provided by law.

It is highly recommended that you attend the walk through and review the existing building and site conditions.

F. Bidders will be required to provide a Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of their Bid.

G. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, and to waive informalities in the bidding.

H. Successful bidders shall conform to the current rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission.

All employees of contractors awarded a bid with the District , who have direct daily onsite contact, shall authorize as a condition of employment on the Districts project, a finger-print based criminal history records check to determine if such employee has been convicted of certain criminal, drug or felony offenses within the last seven years of employment. The background check will be conducted by an agent of the School District, the expense of conducting said checks will be transferred to the contractor via deductive contract adjustments at the closure of the project.

J. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).
