The FISHER COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT #1 is inviting sealed Bid Proposals from interested and qualified parties for FISHER C.U.S.D. #1, 2015 HEALTH/LIFE SAFETY UPGRADES.
This project consists of: Complete tear off of existing High School west classroom wing ballasted single membrane roof system to deck below followed by installation of new rigid insulation, fully-adhered membrane roofing, flashings and trims as well a separate bid package for a limited replacement of Grade School VCT flooring with new walk-off carpet including resilient wall base, trim and accessories.
This work shall include all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, transportation, equipment, fees, and services necessary and required to perform the work as set forth in the Contract Documents.
Bids will be received by the Fisher C.U.S.D. #1, 801 S. Fifth Street, Fisher, IL 61843, until 2:00 p.m. C.S.T., March 12, 2015, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of Farnsworth Group, Inc., 200 W. College Avenue, Suite 301, Normal IL 61761.
Documents will be available online through an electronic bid site managed by Farnsworth Group, Inc. Obtain access after 3 p.m. February 26, 2015, by visiting www.f-w.com and clicking on the Project Bid List Link at the bottom of the page or by contacting Farnsworth Group, Inc. Online access will be provided to all registered bidders during the bidding process. A separate FTP site will be made available to the successful bidder for the duration of construction.
The FISHER C.U.S.D. #1 reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all informalities in the bidding. After receipt of bids and completion of the review process, the FISHER C.U.S.D. #1 may award a contract to the bidder that, in its opinion, will provide a combination of the best services and reasonable cost.
Successful bidders shall be required to observe the Fair Employment Practices Commission Rules pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity, and comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq., and use Wage Determination as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor, Conciliation, and Mediation Division Dated 04/16/2010. These wages will remain in effect until superseded by a new determination.
Bids will be held good for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of Bids.
