Said bids will be received until the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Monday, October 22nd, 2018 at the Purchasing Office, Room A-108, Parkland College, 2400 W. Bradley Avenue, Champaign, Illinois. Documents may be obtained from the above office Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., phone (217) 351-2232. The return envelope should be marked on the outside “Bid #2019-003 ATC Robotic Trainer” and shall be addressed to Purchasing Agent, Room A-108, Parkland College, 2400 W. Bradley Avenue, Champaign, Illinois, 61821.

Any bid not received by said time and at said place will not be considered. Bids sent by facsimile machine or e-mail will not be accepted. The bids will be publicly opened and announced at the above time and date in Room A-108 conference room, on the Parkland College campus. No decision will be made at that time.

Parkland College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, to waive any technicalities or informalities in the bids and to accept the bid or combination of bids deemed most favorable to and in the best interest of the college after all bids have been examined and evaluated.

All bidders must fully comply with all local, state and federal laws regarding bidding on public projects and the performance of services or supplying of goods under said bid.

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received for the performance of drainage improvement works for Minor Sub-District No. 1 of Sub-District No. 2 of Union Drainage District No. 2 of the Towns of St. Joseph and Ogden Drainage District in the County of Champaign and State of Illinois (hereinafter referred to as “District”).

1. The proposed work is officially known as " Drainage Improvements for Minor Sub-District No. 1 Of Sub-District No. 2 Of Union Drainage District No. 2 of the Towns of St. Joseph and Ogden, Champaign County Illinois.

The proposed work consists of certain tile improvements within the boundaries of the District.

2. Plans, Specifications and other Contract Documents may be obtained at the offices of the District attorney, James D. Cottrell Law office, PC, Suite 215, 505 W. University Ave., Champaign, IL 61820.

3. All bids will be received in the office of the attorney for the District at the above address, on or before 5:00 p.m., on 20st day of November, 2018, and said bids shall be opened at a meeting of Commissioners to be held at the offices of the attorney for the District, at the above indicated address, at 10:30 A. M. on the 21th day of November, 2018.

4. Bids must be submitted on the proposal form available at the attorneys' office, and all proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee, which shall be a bank cashier's check, bid bond, bank draft, or a properly certified check in the amount of five (5) percent of the total price bid for accomplishing the proposed work. Proposal guarantees shall be made payable to: Minor Sub-District No. 1 of Sub-District No. 2 of Union Drainage District No. 2 of the Towns of St. Joseph and Ogden Drainage District. Unsuccessful bid guarantees will be promptly returned to the bidder.

5. All bidders must be prepared to submit within five days of District's request, current financial and experience statements to show satisfactory evidence of the bidder's competency to perform the proposed work. No bid proposal will be accepted unless the bidder has complied with all of the above requirements.

6. The successful bidder shall enter into a written contract with the District and shall furnish a surety bond for the full amount of the Contract to guarantee completion of the work in a satisfactory manner; and shall furnish liability insurance to protect the District, its Commissioners and agents all as set forth in the Contract Documents.

7. Contractors will be required to comply with all laws, including those relating to prevailing rate of wages. The Commissioners of the District have adopted and filed a copy of the prevailing wages to be paid.

8. the Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids, and to accept the bid most favorable to the Commissioners, even if not the lowest bid, and continue to letting from time to time.
