The project is generally described as follows:

This project is intended to replace the existing Diesel and Gasoline fueling installation at the City of Champaign Public Works Center, 702 Edgebrook, Champaign, Illinois. This work includes the removal and replacement of existing fueling equipment, new pumps and piping, reconnection of existing tank monitoring/leak detection, removal and re-installation of the shelter and fuel pedestal, and installation of all required underground containment. It also includes the replacement of the fuel management system at the Champaign Public Works Center and the Champaign Police Station.

**A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING TO ANSWER QUESTIONS REGARDING THE BID FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING - GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL ISLAND REPLACEMENT WILL BE HELD AT 1:30PM, PREVAILING TIME ON June 12, 2019 AT THE PUBLIC WORK CENTER, 702 EDGEBROOK, CHAMPAIGN, IL. FAILURE TO ATTEND THIS MEETING WILL RENDER ANY BID SUBMITTED BY THE BIDDER AS UNRESPONSIVE.

There are two sets of diversity goals in place for this project:

The City of Champaign, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof and to waive any formality or technicality in any bids in the interest of the City. The criteria for selection of the lowest responsible bidder are set forth in Section 12.5-38 of the Champaign Municipal Code, 1985, as amended and the bid documents.

To the extent required by law, the contractor shall comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, the Veteran's Preference Act, the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, the City's Equal Opportunity in Purchasing Ordinance and the Illinois Human Rights Act.

If federal funds are used to finance this project, the contractor shall comply with the Davis-Bacon Act.
