Father’s Day Contest Rules

Duration of contest. The contest runs from Monday June 4 through Thursday June 7, 2012.

Eligibility. Each person is limited to one entry, and must be 21 years or older.

How to enter. Entrants must complete the official entry form, to include writing a short letter about the man youre honoring. Forms must be returned to the News-Gazette, 15 Main St., Champaign, IL 61820 on or before Tuesday June 12 by 5 p.m. Employees of The News-Gazette, Inc. and its affiliated businesses, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to win prizes. For purposes of this contest, "immediate family" is anyone residing in the same household. Late entries are ineligible to win. Discourteous or crude letters, in the sole judgment of the News-Gazette, will not be qualified to win.

Drawings. A random drawing will be held June 13 and one winner will be awarded one of the three prizes.

Publication and release. The winner’s letter and a photo appropriate to accompany the letter will be published in The News-Gazette®. By entering the winner is agreeing to authorize the publication and/or broadcast of their name and photograph for promotional purposes, without additional consent, and will release The News-Gazette, Inc. or any liability with respect to the prizes.

Prizes. The prizes are One round of golf for your foursome at Brookhill Golf Course in Rantoul ($152 value), $350 Jos. Kuhns & Co gift card, Hollenhouse glider from Furniture World in Rantoul ($350 value), to be presented to the winners at the time in which the winners claims the prize.

Notification of winners. Winners may be notified by phone, email and/or mail and will have 30 days to pick up the prizes. Prizes not picked up by that date will be forfeited. Delivery of or forfeit of the prize shall end The News-Gazette, Inc.’s responsibility to the winners. Taxes applicable to the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Final decisions. Decisions of The News-Gazette, Inc. on all matters concerning this contest, including, but not limited to, the verification of a winner, whether an entry is qualified to win the prize, the interpretation of these rules, or the creation of further rules, are final and binding on all parties. Interpretation of rules or creation of further rules can have retroactive effect.
