The News-Gazette invites you to share your opinions with other readers. All letters are subject to editing. Required: Name, address and phone number, to help us verify the authenticity of letters. Timeliness: Preference is given to letters offering fresh perspectives on timely topics. Length limit: 250 words. Also, writers are limited to one published letter per month. We do not publish: Anonymous letters, poetry, form letters generated by advocacy groups, letters published elsewhere, and so-called 'open' letters written to a third party, such as the president or governor.
