The Kitchen Witches

The Kitchen Witches

Central Illinois Stage Company (CISCo) is serving up comedy with their latest production “The Kitchen Witches” running with a limited engagement from Sept. 13-16. Show performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 13-15 and a matinee performance on Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. Tickets are only $10 and available for purchase online starting Aug. 29. Tickets will also be available at the door 30 minutes prior to the performance. All performances will take place at 1300 Osage Road, Charleston.

The award-winning comedy, written by Caroline Smith, tells the story of two rival cooking show hosts, Dolly Biddle (played by Rachel Z. Fisher of Champaign County) and Isobel Lomax, (played by Ann Bruehler of Charleston, IL). The two have been rivals for 30 years, but are thrown together as co-hosts of a new show, called “The Kitchen Witches.” The women’s rivalry began when they both dated the same man, who ended up marrying Dolly. The couple’s son, Stephen (played by Justin Janney of Casey, IL) works as “The Kitchen Witches” producer and peacemaker. Enjoy a show complete with one-liners, plot twists and even some audience participation!
