MTD Goes Green

MTD was recently given the go ahead to spend 13.1 million dollars adding 23 hybrid buses to their fleet by April 2011. Like all hybrid vehicals, the buses are more environmentally friendly-- producing fewer harmful emissions and are more fuel efficient.

"Go Green" has been an often heard mantra for quite sometime, but going green is expensive... 13.1 million dollars expensive.

Do you agree with your tax dollars being used in such a manner?
