On one hand I believe "our" destiny is to continue to discover and/or engineer that which is not known currently.
On the other hand, it would not be surprising to imagine a destiny of total self-destruction, by any number of circumstances OR destruction by forces of nature, including potential space aliens.
If , however, these negatives are avoided, I see no reason why humans will not evolve to an advanced level who would consider us in the manner we consider cave men.
Regards,
Barring self or natural destruction, I foresee humans continuing on the present course for the immediate future centuries. Technology will continue to improve our living standards but I don't see the end of famine or war (although wouldn't it be nice to think we'd use more nonlethal weapons). What will be interesting is how social interaction and language changes with the technology. Will we all be tweeting LOLs instead of face-to-face conversations?
What will also be interesting is if a form of reverse natural selection takes hold. Will those with enhanced genetic traits have fewer children while those with inferior traits have more children? Will those that wouldn't have survived birth defects or injuries in the past live due to medical advances, creating genetic lines that in the past were subject to self-extinction? Our own intelligence may undo survival of the fittest briefly, at least until we dumb ourselves down enough.
Joel 2
Isaiah 65:17-25
Dear Neighbor,
This is the most important question there is. The answer comes from the source that started humanity, ....The Creator of everything ,.....IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVEN
AND THE EARTH. This day is very near, May 21, 2011. Read the Bible all of the questions are answered.
