Being a 49er, the 50s were my childhood Christmases. My siblings were 3.5 and 7 yrs. older. We'd come through the front bedroom door one at a time into the living room and the tradition at some point switched from the oldest going 1st, to the youngest going out first. And we always came out into the bright twin movie lights of the 8mm camera which was silently (thank goodness) filming a 50 ft. color 3 minute movie. Seems like there was most always a 2nd roll of film used.
Middle middle class I suppose you'd term my folks. All the Christmases were very special. There were very nice toys, games and items..Wonderful Christmas dinner. Wouldn't trade those memories for anything. Better quit now while I'm ahead. 'v'
