Mr Tate's column in the Thursday 4/26 News-Gazette, refers to Mr Atkins "invsting in a rundown rental property" in Urbana. Befroe selling it, did Mr Atkins repair the property or did he just collect rent from it and let it further deteriorate?
Mr Tate also refers to Mr. Atkins as a "21 year old suburban circulation director for The News-Gazette" and as "just another young guy with ambition and a flair." When Mr Atkins' father died several years ago, the obituary descirbed the senior Atkins' career as a developer--so the Clint Atkins who just died may have learned how to be a develp[per from his dad.
