Tai chi master 'Al' Huang to lead workshops

URBANA — Tai chi master Chungliang "Al" Huang will once again lead his Midwest Spring Memorial Day Week workshop at the end of May.

The event, from May 25 to June 1, offers three options to participants:

— A three-day workshop May 25-27.

— A five-day seminar May 28-June 1.

— An eight-day seminar May 25-June 1.

The three-day program is for beginners and more experienced students. It includes an introduction to and review of tai chi essential exercises, with practical applications for daily living.

The five-day or eight-day courses of deeper study are open to all who have completed the preceding weekend course or a previous weekend course with Huang and who wish to move forward with a more experienced group.

The workshop will take place at The Dance Studio on the University of Illinois campus.
