Healthy grilling is topic for Danville event

DANVILLE — Can what we eat off of the grill pose potential health problems?

People can have their questions answered at an event called "Healthy Grilling" at the Village Mall County Market, 2917 N. Vermilion St., Danville.

The event will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Fast & Easy Health Food Kiosk located in the front of the store.

It is free and open to the public, and registration isn't necessary. However, seating is limited, so people should arrive early.

The event will be presented by the Women Aware Committee of Presence United Samaritans Medical Center Foundation's HALO Project and County Market.

Carol Shriver, Presence Regional clinical nutrition manager, will host a cooking demonstration and offer suggestions on what food products to use to have a safe and tasty summer with the barbecue grill.
