Cooking volunteers sought to help with show

URBANA —The News-Gazette and News-Gazette Community Newspapers are seeking volunteers to help with cooking throughout the day of the upcoming Taste of Home Cooking School.

The show is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Vineyard Church, 1500 N. Lincoln Ave., U. A pre-show is scheduled for 4-6 p.m., and the cooking school is scheduled from 6-8:30 p.m. It will feature culinary specialist Dana Elliott.

Tickets for the show are $15 and on sale through noon Monday, Sept. 30.

Ticket-holders will receive a goodie bag that includes a free online subscription to Taste of Home, a Taste of Home Cooking School magazine, coupons and more. Its value exceeds the ticket price.

The show will also feature several door-prize giveaways and "Taste of Home Recipes Across America" cookbooks for sale at a discounted price.
