Fall festival this weekend in Rossville

ROSSVILLE — This weekend's fall festival will feature more than 30 vendors, a chicken noodle dinner and dedication of a newly renovated archway at the Rossville Cemetery.

There will be at least 34 vendors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday selling various items, including food, crafts, jewelry, candles, antiques, art work, Christmas and fall items, glassware, American Girl doll clothes and more.

Various shops in Rossville will be open. Also on Saturday, the Rossville United Methodist Women will hold their annual chicken noodle dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Carry-out orders will be available.

And at 2 p.m. Sunday there will be a dedication of the gateway arch and wall at the Rossville Cemetery. The Rossville Historical Society decided to rehabilitate the deteriorating arch and donations were gathered to pay for the work. Norton Machine Co. of Rossville took the arch down and reworked it, donating time and materials, and James Thomas rebuilt the brick wall that's also part of the structure. The public is invited to attend the dedication, and refreshments will be served.
