Also, Hands-4-Paws is asking for items to help the animals at the Douglas County Animal Shelter.
Shopko, 700 Progress Blvd., Tuscola, has donated space to hold the Douglas County Animal Shelter's Angel Tree, and the facility has a list of items needed at the shelter, including blankets, bath towels, beds, bleach, laundry detergent, canned food, leashes, treats, toys and flea medication.
Donated items can be dropped off at Shopko in the gift-wrapped boxes near the registers.
