School of Metaphysics event begins on Friday
URBANA — All of us dream. Some of us remember our dreams; some don't.
But lots of people like to talk about their dreams. Now they have a chance to do that with ready listeners via the National Dream Hotline 2014.
The School of Metaphysics in Urbana, part of the Dream Hotline, will host its 26th annual National Dream Hotline from 6 p.m. Friday until midnight Sunday.
Every year since 1989, the School of Metaphysics has sponsored the National Dream Hotline.
The school opens its phone lines in 16 branches and its international headquarters to answer questions and to interpret dreams — for 54 hours round the clock.
The school does not charge for the service.
Anyone wanting a dream interpreted may call the Urbana number 217-344-2270 or drop by the School of Metaphysics at 1009 E. Main St., U.
Go to dreamschool.org for more information.
The Urbana school also will host at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pottery Place, 1808-C Round Barn Road, C, a free screening of "The Ten Powers of Dreaming."
The film tells of how dreams have affected history through their profound messages.
"Dreams are a universal experience for all people, yet few really understand the valuable meaning they bring to the dreamer," said Pam Blosser, director of the School of Metaphysics in the Urbana branch.
"Frightening dreams can haunt people for years, and the National Dream Hotline helps to dispel fears and bring understanding to those requesting interpretation."
