Agora Festival set in Urbana

URBANA — The first Agora Festival featuring live music and other entertainment will take place on Friday and Saturday in Urbana.

The event will celebrate the collective, cooperative and collaborative spirit in downtown and open at 7 p.m. Friday at Cafeteria & Company, 208 W. Main St., U. The cover is $5. The bands performing: The New History, IO Mining Corp and Rebecca Rego & The Trainmen.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, there will be open houses, events and raffles at participating downtown Urbana businesses.

The festival will continue from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Cafeteria & Company with presentations about local projects at 7 p.m.; a panel discussion, 8 p.m.; and The New History music performance, 8:30 p.m. For more go to http://agorafestival.com/.
