Lamon House to open on Sundays

DANVILLE — The Vermilion County Museum Society will start opening the historic Lamon House in Lincoln Park on Sundays starting with this Sunday .

The Lamon House will be open from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 26. Melissa Beckwith Lamon and her brother, Hiram Beckwith, will be portrayed during the open houses by Becky and Alan Woodrum. Visitors also will see renovations, completed this past fall, of the front of the house.
