Helping out 'fur' a good cause

Buying a frying pan this weekend might help out a pup or kitty in the future. Or even a rabbit.

The Champaign County Humane Society Annual Garage Sale begins Friday, and offers antiques, books, unique boutique, housewares, gardening, tools, craft supplies, electronics, sporting goods, toys, games, clothing and "treasures galore." Galore is always good.

A food concession will be on the site throughout the sale for lunch, snacks and drinks.

The sale is at Kesler Hall on the Champaign County Fairgrounds, 1302 N. Coler Ave., U.

Hours are:

7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. $2 per person entrance donation until 3 p.m. (then free).

8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, no admission; the $3 Bag Sale starts at 3 p.m.

10 a.m. to noon, Sunday, $1 per person entrance donation.
