Don't forget about Bloomington show

Just a reminder — Don't forget about tomorrow's 3rd Sunday Market at the Interstate Center in Bloomington.

A recent column on powder coating in Fithian and Charleston brought another recommendation from Robert Drew of St. Joseph, who has used D&C Sandblasting and Powder Coating in Alvin at 27768 N 1700 E Road. They have two phone numbers: 759-7758 or 304-3116. Drew has used them several times and says they do quality work at what he considers a reasonable price.

Our most recent issue of At Home magazine (third of the year) arrived this week and reminded me that the first Vintage Accents for your homescape, show and sale will be Sept. 27-28 at the Fluid Event Center, just off Interstate 72 on Country Fair Drive in Champaign.

It is sponsored by At Home magazine and some area antique dealers — Paddy Wagon Antiques of Tuscola, Mercantile Antiques & Trading Co., Inc. in St. Joseph and Antiques and More on Staley Road in Champaign.

My wife and I, along with two other couples, have teamed up and will rent a space for the event. Other than shows that we have had ourselves and our once-a-year first weekend in December at the Gordyville All Antique Show, this is a first for us.

If you would like to join the fun, call Pat Crotzer at 351-5276.

In case you missed it, Glass FX on First Street in Champaign sold its retail store and is concentrating on the creation and repair of stained glass. Their entrance is just around the corner at 103 E. Clark St. and they have been in business since 1972. You can reach them at 359-0048.
