Lecturer to discuss early migration

URBANA — The East Central Illinois Archaeology Society will present the talk "Ice Age America: First People in a New Land" by Tom Loebel at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Urbana Free Library Lewis Auditorium.

Loebel, cultural resource coordinator at the Illinois State Archaeological Survey in Urbana, will cover the mysteries surrounding the origins and timings of the peopling of the Americas, the last and greatest migration of modern humans across the globe.

The presentation is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served.
