From 1 to 4 p.m. today at the main library, learn the basics of computer coding by playing with Ozobots, littleBits kits, Makey Makeys and more in celebration of Computer Science Education Week.

At 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Douglass Branch, make your own slime at DIY Kids.

From 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the main library, Marissa Siero, Lodgic Workplace director, and Stephanie Pitts-Noggle, business librarian, will share strategies for increasing confidence and making lasting connections at Networking 101, part of the new Start & Grow Your Business series. Reservations are recommended ( Doors open at 7:45 a.m.

At 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Satterthwaite Conference Room, adults can attend Colored Pencil 101: Art Technique for Adults. Create a seasonal postcard-sized drawing using colored pencil in this class. Artist and teacher Lori Fuller will provide step-by-step instructions and go over basic drawing skills and colored pencil techniques such as layering and blending. This class meets for three sessions (Wednesday and Dec. 12 and 19). All materials will be provided, but registration is required and the class size is limited. Register online, by phone or in person by Tuesday. There will be a wait list if the class is full.

At 6:30 p.m. Friday in Lewis Auditorium, attend a holiday performance — Punch & Judy's Christmas! Anne Newman returns with her magical puppets and captivating storytelling for this special First Fridays event. The library will be open until 8 p.m. for this Imbibe Urbana event.

At 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Lewis Auditorium, make a holiday card for a loved one in this all-ages program. Supplies, examples and snacks will be provided.

From 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the second-floor meeting room, learn how to use a computer and mouse and how to organize documents, files and folders. The class is free, but seating is limited.

From 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the children's program room, kids 2 and under with a caregiver can attend Wee Wigglers, featuring songs, stories and silliness.
