The students took the proper stance on the well-known statue's base near the University of Illinois Quad in Urbana on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. Krannert Center for the Performing Arts's costume director, Anne de Velder, made three different sizes of each costume while properties director, Adriane Binky Donley, made the prop from foam board. Robin Kaler, associate chancellor for Public Affairs at Illinois said the the goal is to have people dress as the Alma Mater for special events throughout the school year, including the upcoming UI Homecoming parade.

After a magnetic field is applied a beam of electrons goes in a circle in an E/M tube. Besides the cool looking demo the tube can be used to determine the charge to mass ratio of a particle.
