Wool said less sun during the winter means the plants can get too wet. Wool's job is to keep the area open and clean while preparing the conservatory for spring and summer blooms.

Dawn Blackman, program director of Motherland Culture Club Ministry, said the hats, which are for those in need, can be picked up along with coats at the church from 4 to 6p.m. on Wednesdays. Community youth made peace banners, which could be displayed at local churches or at the children's homes, and fraternity members made soup to be taken to the TIMES Center later that day. Food, like pinto beans, were also packed for the church's food pantry.
