Jim Dorner, of Champaign, and Scott Harper, of Mahomet, both Dinosores Motorcycle Club members, spearheaded the "Make a Difference" fundraiser last year when they had their booth at Champaign's Blue, Brews and Barbecue event, which raised money for the project. The toy chest, which was stuffed with dinosaur toys, was delivered to children at the Pediatric Ward by Dorner, Harper and mostly club members at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana on Saturday, April 6, 2013. The large group of bikers also delivered four Apple iPads and toured the newly refurbished teen room, for which the group helped raise money. Dorner said the club plans to make the fundraiser an annual project, with this year's fundraiser held for the Crisis Nursery in Urbana. The club will sell tickets for a new, Harley-Davidson motorcycle prize, by reaching out at the next Blues, Brews and Barbecue and the Bloomington Gold Corvette show. Tickets may be purchased at these events and at Andrae's Harley-Davidson in Urbana.
