U.S. Cellular Coliseum to soon welcome millionth fan

BLOOMINGTON – The U.S. Cellular Coliseum is preparing to celebrate a major milestone – the admission of its millionth fan through the doors of the venue, expected to occur during events scheduled next weekend.

Patrons attending World Championship ICE Racing at 7:30 p.m. Saturday or Brad Paisley's American Saturday Night Tour with special guests Miranda Lambert and Justin Moore at 7:30 p.m. Sunday have a chance to be the millionth fan and to win prizes courtesy of U.S. Cellular and CIAM.

The fan will receive the ultimate "golden ticket," good for two complimentary tickets for each event in 2010, including PrairieThunder hockey and Extreme football games as well as every concert, theater or special event. In addition, the winner will receive a Motorola CRUSH handset with headphones courtesy of U.S. Cellular, a PrairieThunder hockey jersey, a Bloomington Extreme football jersey and a complimentary night in a luxury suite including food and drinks for the Extreme's opener March 6.

Tickets for World Championship ICE Racing are on sale now at all Ticketmaster locations including the coliseum box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000. VIP tickets are available for $28, $23 for adults and $13 for children ages 2 to 12. All tickets are $5 more on the day of the show.

The venue has hosted hockey games, football games, concerts, Illinois High School Association events, private meetings, banquets, community events and wedding receptions since its opening in April 2006.
