Kennekuk 'haunted' event tickets available
DANVILLE — Tickets are on sale for the annual Haunted Happenings event on Oct. 22 at Kennekuk County Park.
The Vermilion County Conservation District is pre-selling a limited number of tickets for $10 per person. They can be purchased at the following locations: Visitor's center at Kennekuk County Park; staff office at Forest Glen County Park; Deluxe Restaurant in Danville; Catlin IGA in Catlin; Latoz Hardware in Westville; and WHPO radio station office in Hoopeston.
The ticket includes a cook-your-own wiener roast with a hot dog, chips, and soft drink, a hayride and entry to the haunted trail. There will be bonfires lit for visitors' enjoyment, and there will be a trail for children, who must be accompanied by an adult, as well as games at the kids' barn. Gates open at 6 p.m., and all the activities run throughout the night with the haunted trail opening at dark.
Kennekuk County Park is on Henning Road, five miles north of the intersection of Henning Road and U.S. 150.
