DANVILLE — In the last decade, Time-O-Matic Watchfire's operations have outgrown its original facility and spread to other locations in Danville.

Now, the digital sign manufacturer is planning to expand its original building and bring its Danville employees under one roof, according to Danville city officials.

Time-O-Matic is petitioning the city for a zoning change that will allow the company to add a 110,000-square-foot addition to the north end of its existing building at the corner of Maple and Bahls streets in Danville, according to Chris Milliken, zoning and planning manager for the city.

He said the company is looking to consolidate its satellite operations on Voorhees Street and Fairchild Street within its main facility, as well as expand its manufacturing capabilities and add some parking.

To accommodate the expansion, two vacant houses the company owns next to its building at 1009 Maple and 1011 Maple need to be changed from R2 single family residential to light industrial.

And on the north side of its building, property at 1012 Brook St. needs to be changed from agriculture to light industrial.

The city's planning and zoning commission will consider Time-O-Matic's petition at its next meeting at 5:15 p.m. March 1 in the municipal building, 17 W. Main St., Danville.
