URBANA — Come Wednesday, El Toro Mexican Restaurant in Urbana will move north and take on a new name.
Owner Martin Fuentes said El Toro will open at its new location — the former Montana Mike's at 1601 N. Cunningham Ave., U — on Wednesday.
The new restaurant will be known as Toro Loco, but will have the same menu that El Toro in Urbana had, as well as the same staff, he added.
The new name, which translates as "crazy bull," was chosen because Fuentes said the work involved nearly drove him crazy.
Fuentes said he has tried to brighten up the place and has added a new entry to the parking lot from Willow Road. The new restaurant can accommodate more guests than the old location and has a larger parking lot.
Hours at Toro Loco will be the same as at the former location, 1104 N. Cunningham Ave., U: 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays.
The phone number remains 344-7855.
