Power went out Wednesday morning for about 1,500 Champaign households, but it didn't stay out long.
According to Ameren Illinois' power outage map, 1,538 customers in ZIP code 61820 were without power at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.
It was back on by about 11:25 that morning, said Ameren spokesman Leigh Morris.
The power went out when crews were working on a line. A piece of equipment failed, causing the outage, he said. But once it was replaced, power went back on for all those who lost it.
