Bank opens new facility in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN — Midland States Bank has opened its new office on West Springfield Avenue in Champaign, with plans for a monthlong grand opening starting next Monday.

The 4,500-square-foot full-service office at 1617 W. Springfield Ave., C, replaces Midland States' limited-service office at 1608 Broadmoor Drive, C.

Monday was the first day of business at the new site, with a 10-person staff offering consumer, business, mortgage and wealth management services.

The new single-story building has glass walls in the lobby, a fireplace, a self-service coffee bar and two large flat-screen monitors featuring promotions.

The office also has two drive-through lanes, as well as a drive-through automated teller machine and night depository.

Lobby hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Drive-up hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

Midland States also recently added a 24-hour drive-up ATM kiosk at Prospect Avenue and Bloomington Road in Champaign.

Becky Von Holten is Midland States' local market president.

The Effingham-based bank has 31 banking and wealth management offices in Illinois, one in Missouri and one in Wisconsin.
