Baker joins philanthropic center. Dan Baker has joined the Carle Center for Philanthropy as director of major and planned gifts.

He previously served as a major gifts officer at Presence Covenant Medical Center Foundation.

Before that, he served the Boy Scouts of America in development and leadership positions for 14 years.

Therapist moves to Fruhling Chiropractic. Jim Jeffers will provide massage therapy and exercise therapy at Fruhling Chiropractic Center's new location, 1800 Woodfield Drive, Suite A, Savoy.

Massage therapy services will focus on relaxation, pain management and injury rehabilitation, while exercise therapy services will focus on general fitness, pain management and injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Jeffers, who has been in the fitness field for more than 25 years, graduated from Healthy Lifestyle School of Massage Therapy in 2005 and has had training in Level 1 neuromuscular therapy.

Presence Covenant names Physician of Year. Dr. Feiteng Su has been named 2013 Physician of the Year at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Su is a psychiatrist and chair of the hospital's Department of Psychiatry.

Physicians are nominated for the award by peers, staff, patients and their families.

Emmons appointed to foundation board. Champaign attorney Keith E. Emmons has been appointed to the board of directors of the Illinois Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Illinois State Bar Association.

Emmons, a principal at the Meyer Capel law firm, concentrates his practice in health care law and litigation services.

He is a past chairman and current member of the association's Health Care Law Section Council and a member of the association's Standing Committee on Legislation.

Financial rep receives award. Country Financial representative Terry Hill of St. Joseph has received the Multiline Quality Award.

The award is presented annually by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
