It's Your Business: Antiques store is open in St. Joseph
A new antiques store has opened in St. Joseph, just off Interstate 74.
Precious Antiques & More at 810 N. Third St. has a gift shop up front with candles, food and bath and body products for the season. The rest of the 2,500-square-foot space contains antiques from several periods, said owner Vicki Collins of Urbana.
Collins, who is operating the store with her husband, Leonard, also offers consignment sales, buys estate items and has space to rent for some other dealers, she said.
A private-duty hospice nurse, Collins is continuing her nursing work and helping at the store on weekends, she said. Her husband also works as a carpenter.
Store hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The new store is in the former space of Clementine's, a home decor shop, and B & B Hobbies, both of which moved in August to 209 E. Lincoln, St. Joseph.
Home care agency opens
Homecare Solutions, a home care agency focusing on the needs of the elderly, has opened to serve clients in Champaign County and the surrounding area.
The owners, Tina Underwood of Sadorus and Gretchen Harney of Champaign, previously worked for Carle Foundation Hospital and Senior Services of Champaign County. Harney is a social worker, and Underwood is a certified nursing assistant.
They will come to clients' homes and assist with activities of daily living, such as cooking meals, laundry, light housekeeping and exercise, and will also provide transportation for shopping, doctor and hair appointments and other errands.

Remodeling complete
Rainbow Garden Restaurant, 1402 S. Neil St., C, has completed a remodeling.
The redecorated dining room can now accommodate groups up to 20. The menu has some new additions, and there is also a new wine list, says owner Zhiyuan Song.
Song, who bought the restaurant in 2005, said he wanted to create a nicer setting for his customers that is worthy of the food he serves.
