Customers, neighbors wonder about Pages' future
SAVOY – Pages for All Ages bookstore at Savoy Plaza has been closed since midweek, and customers and neighboring business owners are wondering if it will reopen.
A sign on the front doors states the store is closed for inventory. The store was locked up and dark Friday, and calls to the store were answered with a recording stating that all lines are busy.
Store owners Brandon and Susan Griffing couldn't be reached for comment.
Julie Clayton, director of administration for Savoy Plaza's owner, Evansville, Ind.-based Regency Properties, said she wasn't aware of any plans to close the store.
Savoy Village Manager Dick Helton said Friday the Griffings hadn't told village officials anything about closing the store.
"We know there's a sign on the store that says they're closed for taking inventory," he added.
