DANVILLE — Meijer Inc. plans to build a new store in Danville next to the Kohl's development site on North Vermilion Street, according to Danville city officials.
The regional supercenter chain, based in Grand Rapids, Mich., has optioned about 23 acres directly south of the Kohl's site at the stoplight intersection of Boiling Springs Road and North Vermilion Street.
The site will include a 191,000-square-foot Meijer retail store and convenience store-gas station. The 24-hour store will include a full grocery, a drive-through pharmacy, department-store goods, including clothing and electronics. Construction could begin as early this year.
