Mahomet man still in hospital after motorcycle crash

MAHOMET – A Mahomet man remained hospitalized Wednesday with injuries he received in an accident Saturday night in that village.

Mahomet Police Chief Jerry Gamble said Montana Martin, 23, was driving his motorcycle west on Oak Street near Prairieview Road at 10:58 p.m. when a car driven by Stephen Boley, 21, of Mahomet, apparently turned left in front of him. Martin, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle. He had to be airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital.

Gamble said his officer had not been able to interview Martin as of Wednesday so no tickets had been issued.

Martin was listed in good condition. Boley was not hurt.
