Help sought in solving north Champaign robbery
CHAMPAIGN – Crimestoppers and Champaign police are asking for help solving a robbery in north Champaign.
On Friday, Jan. 22, about 1:30 a.m., a man and woman were sitting in a parked vehicle in the 1100 block of North Hickory Street in Champaign, when they were approached by two men who displayed guns. The woman ran from the vehicle. The robbers took property from the male victim, then ran south.
The first was described as black, in his 20s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, 180 pounds, wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and a winter face mask. The second robber was also described as black, in his 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Crimestoppers will pay a reward if the information leads to an arrest. Cash rewards are also paid for information on other felony crimes or fugitives in the Champaign County area.
