2 men treated after rollover in northwest Champaign
CHAMPAIGN – Two men were treated and released from an area hospital following a rollover crash early Tuesday.
Champaign County sheriff's Sgt. Dan Coile said Nathaniel Keigley, 21, of Mahomet was issued a ticket for driving under the influence after the car he was driving in west Champaign rolled over, injuring him and his passenger, Andrew J. Thompson, 22, of Champaign.
Coile said Keigley was driving west on Cardinal Road near Staley Road about 1:20 a.m. when his car went off the south side of the road, hit a ditch and launched over Staley Road. The car then rolled over, coming to rest on its roof.
Coile said Keigley admitted that he had consumed beer and taken drugs.
Both Keigley and Thompson were taken to Carle Foundation Hospital.
