Man shot outside home in Danville

DANVILLE - A Danville man was listed in stable condition Monday morning after being shot outside a home on Sunday night.
According to Larry Thomason, director of public safety for Danville, a 26-year-old was shot while on the porch of a house in the first block of Alexander Street at about 8:15 p.m.
Thomason said the man was on the porch when a car pulled up, a man got out and shot several times. The shooter drove off. The victim was wounded in the lower part of the body.
Thomason said the incident appeared to be isolated. He asked anyone with information to contact police at 431-2250 or Crimestoppers at 446-TIPS.
