Hearing next week in case involving woman and ex-husband
URBANA – A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 23 for a Champaign woman charged in connection with an attack on her 63-year-old ex-husband.
According to a police report, Tim Wentling was in the basement of a home in the 1800 block of Kensington Knoll Drive, Champaign, at 2:52 p.m. on Feb. 26 going through his possessions when he got involved in a domestic dispute with his former wife, identified as Rose Wentling, 55, who listed an address in the 1800 block of Kensington Knoll Drive, Champaign.
Champaign County Assistant State's Attorney Scott Larson said Rose Wentling struck the man repeatedly with a baseball bat.
