Robinson woman dies following motorcycle crash

URBANA — Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup said a Robinson woman died as a result of injuries she received in a motorcycle crash in Effingham County.
Northrup said that Darlene Warfel, 54, of Robinson was pronounced dead at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana 6:50 p.m. Wednesday from a traumatic head injury she received in a crash on Illinois 33 earlier that day.
No autopsy was performed, Northrup said, but an inquest may be held at a later date.
The incident is begin investigated by Northrup’s office and the Effingham County sheriff’s office.
