CHAMPAIGN – Bond has been set at $20,000 for a man arrested in Champaign for possession of a stolen vehicle.
According to a police report, officers pulled over a black 1996 Dodge Neon at Springfield Avenue and Fourth Street at 10:38 a.m. Saturday after they noted the vehicle matched the description of a car that had been reported stolen earlier in Paxton.
Police arrested the driver, Wesley J. Kintner, 24, who listed addresses in Sidney and Champaign, and took him to the Champaign County Jail.
On Tuesday, Kintner pleaded innocent to unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle.
If convicted, Kintner could be sentenced to up to 14 years in prison.
