Man arrested over Vermilion County theft

ROYAL – Champaign County sheriff's deputies arrested a Royal man late Tuesday morning in connection with a theft two years ago in Vermilion County.
Champaign County Sheriff Dan Walsh said deputies arrested Ronald L. Olson, 63, who listed an address in Royal, at his home on two counts of felony theft at 11:49 a.m. Tuesday after a warrant was issued in Vermilion County for his arrest.
Olson was taken to the Champaign County Jail on $30,000 bond.
According to the Vermilion County state's attorney's office, the warrant was in connection with a theft of property valued more than $300 in October 2008.
