Man arraigned in burglary case
URBANA – A Champaign man apparently left his fingerprints behind at the scene of a house he's accused of entering last summer.
David L. Moore, 19, who listed an address in the 1600 block of Hedge Road, was arraigned Tuesday on a warrant issued last week charging him with residential burglary.
Urbana police Sgt. Dan Morgan said Moore is accused of entering a home in the 200 block of Wood Street on Sept. 7 and stealing a gold necklace.
Morgan said the victim knew Moore and his fingerprints were identified at the home, leading to the warrant for his arrest.
Moore is being held on $15,000 bond and is to be back in court April 26. If convicted, he faces a mandatory prison term of four to 15 years.
i think this charges are false who do u no that is going to break into some ones home and only take one neckless i think they charge young men falesly most of the time and if this happend a year ago why did the police wait so long to make an arrest and finger prints come back with in 24 hrs of an crime scene??>..
