Man pleads guilty to predatory criminal sexual assault
URBANA — A Champaign man could spend more than two decades in prison after he pleaded guilty on Monday to predatory criminal sexual assault.
Keven J. McIntosh, 21, who listed an address in Champaign, pleaded guilty to one count of predatory criminal sexual assault.
McIntosh admitted sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in an apartment building in the 2000 block of North Mattis Avenue, Champaign, on Oct. 30, 2010.
As part of a plea agreement, a second charge of predatory criminal sexual assault was dismissed.
McIntosh faces between six and 60 years in prison when Judge Tom Difanis sentences him on Aug. 24, according to Champaign County Assistant State's Attorney Stephanie Weber. But Weber said that the state will not seek a sentence in excess of 25 years.
According to Champaign police, two 8-year-old girls told a relative that McIntosh took them into a storage area in the building, where he committed sexual acts with them.
I know Keven and I feel really bad he is in this position. I hope there is a point in his life where things turn out good. No, I really do not think that given my position, I would be a good judge and juror but please, keep Keven in your prayers. He is basically a nice young man who has had a difficult life.e
