Police seek help finding accused murderer

URBANA — Urbana police are asking for help in locating a man charged with the first-degree murder of a Danville man that happened this past winter.

Terrell Larue, 19, whose last known address was in the 2200 block of Philo Road, Urbana, is wanted for the Feb. 14 fatal shooting of Kevin A. Jackson, 24. He died about 1 a.m. after being shot once in the chest in the hallway of an apartment complex in the 2000 block of South Philo Road, Urbana.

A second man charged with Mr. Jackson's murder, David L. Moore, 21, who listed an address in the 1600 block of Hedge Road, Champaign, was arrested July 24 and remains in the county jail. He's scheduled to be back in court Aug. 11.

Urbana police investigator Matt Quinley said it's believed that the shooting happened as a result of a drug deal that went bad.

Anyone with information on Larue's whereabouts is asked to call Urbana police at 217-384-2320 or Crimestoppers at 217-373-8477.
