One in hospital after shooting in Urbana

URBANA — Police are investigating a shooting Sunday afternoon in Urbana.
According to Urbana police, some people got into an argument in the parking lot of The Pointe Apartments in the 1600 block of East Florida Avenue, about 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police said one person fired several rounds from a pistol, with at least one striking an 18-year-old Chicago woman who was not involved in the argument.
The woman was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, where she was still undergoing treatment on Sunday evening.
Urbana Police Sgt. Dan Morgan said police were still trying to identify suspects in connection with the case on Sunday evening.
