Help sought in solving Champaign County homicide
The Champaign County sheriff's office and Champaign County Crimestoppers is seeking the public's help in solving a homicide.
According to a police report, the body of Angelica "Maria" Vasquez, 43, was discovered in the morning hours of Sept. 27 at a site on Rising Road west of Champaign and about a quarter mile north of Bradley Avenue.
Ms. Vasquez was last seen entering a vehicle in the 700 block of Robinson Road in Danville, in the late evening of Sept. 26 or early morning hours of Sept. 27.
Police said they believe she was killed at a separate location from where her body was found.
