Crescent City man killed in truck crash

WATSEKA — A Crescent City man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Iroquois County early Friday.
Illinois State Police at Ashkum said a pickup truck headed west on U.S. 24 about a mile west of Watseka ran off the road and hit a sign about 1:30 a.m. It then rolled over near the entrance to the Iroquois Paving Corp.
The driver, Dennis Eby, 44, was thrown from the truck. He was taken to Iroquois Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A state police crash reconstruction team is investigating.
